Around Manaslu was officially opened to tourist in 1991, but mountaineering expeditions have long had access to the area. In 1950 a manage to obtain trekking permit for the region. Otherwise this trek has always been the domino of the mountaineering expedition. The Trek is geographically spectacular and culturally fascinating. The inhabitant of the upper Budhigandaki a region known as Nupri are direct descendant of Tibetan immigrant who settled here in the early 1600s. In upper Nupri the speech, dress, Custom is almost exclusively Tibetan. The mountain view of Nupri is sensational, and the larkya la is one of the most dramatic pass a crossing in the Himalaya. Still many places are unknowing as Tsum valley- Mu valley, Sarang monastery, which are most beautiful and fascinating.
